Brief description
About the BeKi
With the conclusion of the "Quality Agreement for Daycare Facilities – QVTAG", the then Senate Department for Education, Science and Research and the associations of daycare providers agreed on a system of measures to ensure the ongoing quality development of all daycare facilities in Berlin on the basis of the Berlin Education Programme (BBP).
At the end of May 2008, the then Senate Department for Education, Science and Research commissioned INA to support, monitor and evaluate the implementation of these measures and the quality development process of the daycare centres.
Field of activity
The BeKi fulfils the following tasks as part of its remit:
- BeKi supports the development of the concept on the basis of the BBP by making recommendations for its further development,
- BeKi trains a needs-based number of multipliers to support the internal evaluation of the BBP,
- BeKi ensures that sufficient capacity is available for the implementation of the external evaluation in accordance with the educational programme by professionally suitable providers,
- BeKi coordinates the timing of the external evaluation in accordance with the QVTAG guidelines and ensures that it is carried out to a high standard,
- BeKi analyses the ongoing quality development processes, evaluates their successes, problems and obstacles and makes the results available to the QVTAG agreement partners, the district youth welfare offices and providers for the targeted management of the further process,
- BeKi ensures continuous, targeted communication between all stakeholders in the quality development process and ensures that all those involved can obtain the necessary information.
